It makes a world of difference.Of course I have an H9 and I'm still coming to grips with using it.which is why I'm asking for all the help I can get with it. Also remember to get the most out of these type of effects you really have to be doing stereo or W/D/W. The H949 and micropitch algorithms are both absolutely awesome too. On top of that the pitchfactor does so much other cool stuff. Put it this way, if you want that H910 sound but don't want to deal with tracking down a real H910 and getting it repaired, calibrated, etc., and deal with all that mess and expense the Pitchfactor is absolutely, positively the BEST way to go. However, that grunge and instability is part of the charm of the real H910 too. Honestly, the pitchfactor is better than the real H910 because it does have the character and sound of the H910 pitch shifting, but is cleaner, clearer, and more stable.

The pitchfactor H910 still glitches when the reader/writer type of pitch reading function (I forget what this is really called) outruns one another and you can hear a "click" or drop out in the shift, but it is stable and doesn't do some strange warbling and unstable drifting in pitch shift the real H910 does. The difference between the H910 algorithm and the real H910 is really just that the pitchfactor is more stable, cleaner, and less grungy.

EVENTIDE H910 HARMONIZER SETUP PATCH
The pitchfactor H910 algorithm does a better job of emulating the real H910 than anything else, including the "Dual H910s" patch in the big boy Eventide H8000FW. If that question was for me, I can't speak for the H9, but can as far as the pitchfactor vs. Unless you get one used for $99 (good luck with with that!) I just don't think the Pitchfactor is a good investment. It just doesn't make much sense to buy a Pitchfactor or any of the Factor pedals.they are generally just as expensive as an H9 Core and they take up a lot of pedalboard real estate. The Core comes only with the H910 and H940 algorithms, but that is all you need for most Van Halen/Hagar stuff and many other famous sounds. That is the main platform for Eventide and they do everything the Factor pedals do, all the Factor pedals.the Core runs about $379 and you can add whatever algorithms you want cheaply over time or you can spend a bunch of money and get a Max which gives you everything at once. If anyone can convince me to go for another product please do, I'd love to hear the thoughts back and forth.I can't recommend the Pitchfactor.investing in an H9 Core is the best course of action, no question. I will be getting a Pitchfactor probably at the end of September, and using it mono for a while. One one hand my new Stealth has a phenomenal tone, but lacks the effects of my modelling amp (of course!), there's only so much room in the budget! Man, I can't wait to get a Pitchfactor for my new rig.

Sounds great! What's your opinion of the Pitchfactor/H9's ability to emulate the 910? You've got 'em both, what do you think? If that question was for me, I can't speak for the H9, but can as far as the pitchfactor vs.
